As drives to the cinema go, the route to Church Hill’s Community Cinema is unusual as you go through the residential sprawl of Edgeworth Close trying to find the 1st Church Hill Scouts building at the end of it. it’s not easy to find, but it’s worth the trip.

Community Cinemas like this newest one in Church Hill are a great way to get your family together and enjoy a film. If you’ve got no family nearby they’re a great way to spend time in the company of people. More relaxed than one of the big chains, you can spread out a bit more, and the price delivers better value for money – there’s no rip-off shop for starters.

A community cinema brings people together. You’re much more likely to chat to fellow viewers than you are at a chain cinema. There’s also an intermission so you can take a toilet break, grab a bite or a drink, or stretch your legs – without missing any of the film.

Did I also mention there isn’t 30 minutes of adverts before the film starts. When it says it starts at 6:15pm the film starts at 6:15pm.

So what are you waiting for? There are plenty of people who will complain about not having enough things to see or do in Redditch – especially for younger people. The Church Hill Community Cinema provides an opportunity for the whole family, or just yourself.
